The bacterial cytoskeleton

Article Abstract:

A compilation of a wide range of information currently available about the bacterial cytoskeleton is presented concentrating on systems where sufficient information is available to draw significant conclusions. The cytoskeleton aspects of these systems and the relation of their cytoskeletal organization to specific cellular functions are discussed.

Modeling complex genetic interactions in a simple eukaryotic genome: Actin displays a rich spectrum of complex haploinsufficiencies

Article Abstract:

The actin cytoskeleton of yeast is used to determine the potential for deleterious bigenic interactions. Accordingly, ~4800 complex hemizygote strains are constructed between an actin-null allele and the nonessential gene deletion collection. 208 genes are found to have deleterious complex haploinsufficient (CHI) interactions with actin.
