Ectopic expression of Oct-4 blocks progenitor-cell differentiation and causes dysplasia in epithelial tissues

Article Abstract:

The effect of ectopic Oct-4 expression on somatic tissues of adult mice using a doxycycline-dependent expression system is investigated. It is shown that the specific adult progenitors remain competent to interpret key embryonic signals and support the notion that progenitor cells are the main reason behind tumorigenesis.

Reprogramming of a melanoma genome by nuclear transplantation

Article Abstract:

The nuclear transplantation test is conducted to identify whether the reprogramming movement of oocytes can regenerate the formation of pluripotency of recurrent cancer cells. The results provide the basis for learning the tumorigenic impact on a specific cancer genome in relation to a complete animal.

Dnmt3b promotes tumorigenesis in vivo by gene-specific de novo methylation and transcriptional silencing

Article Abstract:

The role of the de novo DNA methyltransferase, Dnmt3b in promoting tumorigenesis is discussed. Dnmt3b facilitates gene-specific methylation and transcriptional silencing and is widely used as a tumor suppressor.
