Essential role of glycosaminoglycans in Fgf signaling during mouse gastrulation

Article Abstract:

Results show that fibroblast growth factor signaling during mouse gastrulation is promoted by proteoglycans. Data indicate that Izme phenotype cells produce UDP-glucose dehydrogenase which mediate the synthesis of the GAG side chains of proteoglycans and in Izme mutants Fgf signaling is blocked for lack of proteoglycans.

Wnt/Frizzled activation of Rho regulates vertebrate gastrulation and requires a novel formin homology protein Daam1

Article Abstract:

Research demonstrates that in Xenopus embryogenesis and human cells, the Wnt/Fz signaling, the Dishevelled (Dvl) protein, and the formin homology protein Daam1 activate GTPase Rho. Data indicate that Daam1 binds to both Dvl and Rho to form Dvl-Rho complex, which activates Rho in cell polarity signal transduction.

COP9 signalosome: a multifunctional regulator of SCF and other cullin-based ubiquitin ligases

Article Abstract:

This review discusses the function of COP9 signalosome protein in eukaryotes in which COP9 is critical for the proper development of multicellular organisms. Research indicates that COP9 promotes SCF ubiquitin ligases and other cullin-based ubiquitin ligases.
