FIH-1: a novel protein that interacts with HIF-1alpha and VHL to mediate repression of HIF-1 transcriptional activity

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the hypoxia-inducible factor 1, oxygen homeostasis regulator. The identification of the factor inhibiting hypoxia-inducible factor 1, a protein binding to hypoxia-inducible factor 1alpha and its transactivation function has been carried out and the results are reported.

NELF and DSIF cause promoter proximal pausing on the hsp70 promoter in Drosophila

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on DSIF and NELF which collaborate to inhibit elongation by RNA polymerase in human cell extracts. The roles of DSIF and NELF in promoter proximal pausing regulation at hsp70 promoter in Drosophila has been investigated, and the results are reported.

Stat1 functions as a cytoplasmic attenuator of Runx2 in the transcriptional program of osteoblast differentiation

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on bone remodeling. The role of Stat1 transcription factor in bone remodeling regulation has been investigated, and the authors reveal that the latent transcription factor attenuates another transcription factor's activity in the cytoplasm.
