San Diego-based Aethlon Medical is designing and testing the Hemopurifier, which purifies the blood from any viral interlopers. Aethlon has not submitted the results to a peer-review journal, as they are still working to get approval from the FDA to conduct clinical trials in the US on the safety of the device.
