In vitro secretion kinetics of proteins from Legionella pneumophila in comparison to proteins from non-pneumophila species

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the Legionella pneumophila. The characterization of the L. pneumophila putative virulence factors' secretion kinetics has been carried out and the comparison of these kinetics to those of the non-pneumophila species during the early stationary growth phases has been performed.

Identification of the ABC protein SapD as the subunit that confers ATP dependence to the K (super)+ -uptake systems Trk (super)H and Trk (super)G from Escherichia coli K-12

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the K (super)+ transport in Escherichia coli. The relationship between trkE and the sapABCDF operon has been investigated with respect to their role in this transport and the results indicate that sapD is required for the K (super)+ uptake.

Changes in protein synthesis during the adaptation of Bacillus subtilis to anaerobic growth conditions

Article Abstract:

Results show that a shift from aerobic to anaerobic growth condition results in nitrate ammonification and replacement of fermentative processes by oxygen-dependent respiration in Bacillus subtilis.
