The genetic diversity of native, stocked and hybrid populations of marble trout in the Soca River, Slovenia

Article Abstract:

The genetic diversity of native, stocked, and hybrid populations of marble trout in the Soca River, Slovenia, has been studied. Eleven populations of the trout were analyzed using 31 presumptive enzyme loci. Hardy-Weinberg and linkage disequilibria were seen and hypotheses were formulated. A scenario for colonization of the Adriatic region is put forward.

Genetic diversity and differentiation in a southern beech subjected to introgressive hybridization

Article Abstract:

Genetic diversity and differentiation has been studied in a southern beech under introgressive hybridization. It appears that different evolutionary stages in the introgressive hybridization process are to be found in different lake watersheds.

Intron polymorphism (EPIC-PCR) reveals phylogeographic structure of Zacco platypus in China: A possible target for aquaculture development

Article Abstract:

The phyloeographic description of Zacco platypus from southeast China is studied in order to detect subdivisions within the nominal species. The results reveal that five discrete genetic groups are identified, one of them being the outgroup.
