New thermosensitive delivery vector and its use to enable nisin-controlled gene expression in Lactobacillus gasseri

Article Abstract:

The delivery vector pTN1 contains a thermosensitive replicon, whose replication is shut down at 42 C, and carries an erythromycin resistance marker. The functionality of pTN1 is demonstrated by integrating the signal transduction genes nisRK of the nisin-controlled expression system into the Lactobacillus gasseri chromosome.

Characterization and heterologous gene expression of a novel esterase from lactobacillus casei CL96

Article Abstract:

The molecular properties and enzymatic features of a novel esterase from lactobacillus casei CL96 is discussed. A report is also given on the large scale production of recombinant esterase in methylotrophic yeast and bacteria.

Introduction of peptidase genes from Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. lactis into Lactococcus lactis and controlled expression

Article Abstract:

Research on Lactococcus lactis peptidases conducted to examine their ability of adding new properties to lactococci is presented. Peptidase growth activities in milk are revealed by chromotography analyses.
