Parasite recruitment and oceanographic regime: evidence suggesting a relationship on a global scale

Article Abstract:

The oceanographic phenomena such as upwelling and water-mixing due to different currents present in the ocean affect the parasite recruitment variability in exploited fish and cephalopod populations. The studies presented on the relationship between parasite recruitment and oceanographic regime is an indicator of degree of pollution and also economically important for the fishing industry.

A review of reproductive strategies in cephalopods

Article Abstract:

Research describing the reproductive tactics of cephalopods is presented. Five distinct approaches based on ovulation and spawning pattern are identified and species which display each of these strategies are studied.
