Plasticity and the genetics of reproductive behaviour in the monocarpic perennial, Lobelia inflata (Indian tobacco)

Article Abstract:

Plasticity and genetics of reproductive behavior in the monocarpic perennial, Lobelia inflata (Indian tobacco), have been studied. No evidence has been found for genetic population differentiation relative to bolting plasticity. Plasticity differs among populations within a generation, but the population effect is not consistent in the two generations of the experiment.

Genetics of sex determination in the gynodioecious species Lobelia siphilitica: evidence from two populations

Article Abstract:

Evidence from two Lobelia siphilitica populations has been collected to shed light on the genetics of sex determination in the gynodioecious species. It is shown that multiple cytoplasmic male-sterility types are in a gynodioecious population where female frequency is greater than 50%.

Among-environment heteroscedasticity and the estimation and testing of genetic correlation

Article Abstract:

Among-environment heteroscedasticity and estimation/testing of genetic correlation are discussed with development and validation of a given variance-stabilizing transformation. A simulation study and an analysis of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii growth rate data are used to compare methods in which the genetic correlation is estimated from the raw data with another method.
