Polar flagellar motility of the Vibrionaceae

Article Abstract:

The author focuses on discussing facts known about the polar systems of the gamma purple bacteria, particularly Vibrio and Pseudomonas species. The use of Vibrio parahaemolyticus's polar flagellar system in describing these facts has been analyzed.

Autophagy in yeast: mechanistic insights and physiological function

Article Abstract:

The aim of this review is to discuss the mechanism of autophagy. The use of yeast as a model system in describing this mechanism and the physiological effect of autophagy on both yeast and higher organisms have been analyzed.

Receptors and entry cofactors for retroviruses include single and multiple transmembrane-spanning proteins as well as newly described glycophosphatidylinositol-anchored and secreted proteins

Article Abstract:

The authors review the studies on the retrovirus-host cell interactions. The functional interactions between the retroviral v and their receptors in initiating a productive infection have been investigated.
