Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) synthesis by recombination Escherichia coli arcA mutants in microaerobiosis

Article Abstract:

The effects of different arcA mutations on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) synthesis in recombinant Escherichia coli strains carrying the pha synthesis genes from Azotobacter sp. strain FA8 are assessed. The results presented suggest that arcA mutations could play a role in heterologous PHB synthesis in microaerobiosis.

Detection and identification by PCR of a highly virulent phylogenetic subgroup among extraintestinal pathogenic Escherichia coli B2 strains

Article Abstract:

A DNA pathoarray analysis is used for developing a PCR specific for Escherichia coli B2 strains (O1:K1, O2:K1, O18:K1 and O45:K1) subgroup, which is included in the multiplex phylogenetic-grouping PCR method. This new PCR method can be used for identifying this virulent subgroup among different ecological niches.

Expression of functional recombinant mussel adhesive protein Mgfp-5 in Escherichia coli

Article Abstract:

Mussels, a common seafood, secretes a water-resistant bioadhesive from it's foot which helps it to anchor to wet solid surfaces. In this experiment, cloning and expression of soluble recombinant mytilus galloprovincialis food protein type 5 is made and the results are discussed.
