Population Ecology and Genetics

Article Abstract:

A computer software package for the academic study of population ecology and genetics is presented. The package consists of two sets of programs stored in a double sided disk. One side of the disk contains an array of deterministic population ecology models used in the analysis of various population biology topics such as predator-prey interactions. Population genetics simulations, including the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, are contained in the other side. The package presents the test results in the form of a table and an optional graph wherein the change in gene frequency is displayed.

Article Abstract:

Snap-Master for Windows is a software package from HEM Data Corp. composed of data acquisition, general analysis and frequency analysis modules. Each module has a data display, storage retrieval and Windows 3.1 dynamic data exchange features. It has built-in simulated devices to help users operate the data acquisition and control functions without the need for external instruments. It runs under Microsoft Windows 3.1.
