Population genetics of an opportunistic parasitoid wasp in an agricultural environment are discussed relative to the use of RAPD-PCR markers and their use with single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis to study population structure of Diaeretiella rapae M'Intosh (Hymenoptera: Barconidae), a parasitoid of many aphid species and a biological control agent against the Russian wheat aphid.

The biogeography and population genetics of neotropical vector species

Article Abstract:

An examination of patterns of divergence and distribution in relation to three hypotheses of neotropical vector species diversification is presented. Result show only Rhodnius prolixus has a pattern concordant with the refugia hypothesis, while Rhodnius robustus conforms the marine predictions.
