Regulatory circuit design and evolution using phase Lambda

Article Abstract:

Powerful genetic selections are used to identify functional circuits and selected variants with altered behavior. The results indicate that complex circuits can arise during the course of evolution by a combination of simpler regulatory modules.

Segmentation in vertebrates: clock and gradient finally joined

Article Abstract:

The molecular control of somitogenesis can be understood by the discovery of molecular oscillators and gradients of signaling molecules. The advances in understanding the molecular mechanism controlling somitogenesis are discussed.
