SYSTAT for Windows. Version 5.03

Article Abstract:

SYSTAT for Windows is very different from previous DOS-based versions with more user-friendly and simplified functions such as ANOVAs, t-tests, box plots and correlations. Inasmuch as it runs under the Windows operating system, it has retained the SYSTAT BASIC language. It is a flexible and efficient language that should be of great help to users who are familiar with the DOS versions of the software. The greatest advantage of the Windows version is that it allows for multitasking. A user can open worksheet, graph and notepad windows and change to different windows without difficulty.

TableCurve

Article Abstract:

TableCurve is a specialized program intended for the determination of curve-fit equations for X-Y tabular data. It runs on IBM-PC with DOS 3.0 or higher, 640K memory with at least 480K free, and 1.5 Mb of virtual memory. A math coprocessor is recommended. The program is very versatile, with options as a stand-alone program, or in conjuction with Sigma-Plot and WINDOWS 3.0. TableCurve will simultaneously fit and sort up to 3,320 linear and nonlinear equations, and accomodate up to 8,192 X-Y pairs. The program is also capable of producing ASCII, spreadsheet and Sigma-Plot files.

MINSQ: Nonlinear curve fitting and model development

Article Abstract:

MINSQ is intended to provide solutions to nonlinear curve-fitting and parameter problems. It runs on MS-DOS microcomputers, and provides a comprehensive statistical output, including state-of-the-art statistics. The program can also make plots showing data points and fitted functions, as well as plots for families of lines. However, an option for line labeling is needed as well as an index for the manual. On the whole, the program is convenient and should be helpful for scientists with problems involving nonlinear models.
