Cofactor dynamics and sufficiency in estrogen receptor-regulated transcription

Article Abstract:

The role estrogen signaling mediated by estrogen receptor cofactors in the reproductive physiology is discussed. Data reveal that p160 class of coactivators participate in gene activation and growth stimulatory actions of estrogen in breast cancer development.

Specification of neuropeptide cell identity by the integration of retrograde BMP signaling and a combinatorial transcription factor code

Article Abstract:

Research points out that selection of a specific neuropeptide identity within peptidergic cells is fecilated by the integration of an intrinsic transcription factor code with an extrinsic retrograde signal. Data indicate that the zinc-finger gene squeeze directs Tv neuron's axon pathfinding to a peripheral target.

Chromosome-wide mapping of estrogen receptor binding reveals long-range regulation requiring the Forkhead protein FoxA1

Article Abstract:

The association of the estrogen receptor (ER) is mapped, with the complete nonrepetitive sequence of human chromosomes 21and 22 by combining chromatin immunoprecipitation with tiled microarrays. The results suggest that the direct ER binding requires the presence of Forkhead factor binding in close proximity.
