The macrocyclic peptide antibiotic micrococcin P (sub)1 is secreted by the food-borne bacterium Staphylococcus equorum WS 2733 and inhibits Listeria monocytogenes on soft cheese

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the Staphylococcus equorum. Results indicate that it produces a bacteriostatic effect on gram-positive bacteria.

Gene cloning and expression and secretion of Listeria monocytogenes bacteriophage-lytic enzymes in Lactococcus lactis

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the bacteriophage lysins. The introduction of the endolysin-encoding genes from Listeria bacteriophages into lactococcal organisms has been examined.

Characterization of reutericyclin produced by Lactobacillus reuteri LTH2584

Article Abstract:

Research describes isolation and characterization of reutericyclin from Lactobacillus reuteri LTH2584. Data reveal that reutericyclin has a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, its production is influenced by fatty acids, and it is a novel tetramic acid derivative with a molecular mass of 349 daltons.
