The transcriptional activity of human Chromosome 22

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on human cromosome 22. The authors report the construction of DNA microarray which represents the unique sequences of this chromosome, and the use of the microarray for measuring global-transcriptional activity in placental poly(A) (super)+ RNA.

A novel pseudoknot element is essential for the action of a yeast telomerase

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on telomerase RNAs from Kluyveromyces budding yeast. The authors have identified conserved sequences in this telomerase via the use of phylogenetic comparison, and report that the sequences are important for normal telomerase function.

A role for a novel 'trans-pseudoknot' RNA-RNA interaction in the functional dimerization of human telomerase

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on internal RNA of human telopmerase ribonucleoprotein which has a secondary structure. The authors have investigated the role of intermolecular integral RNA-integral RNA interactions in the functional dimerization of telomerase.
