RNA binding protein Sex-lethal (Sxl) and control of Drosophila sex determination and dosage compensation

Article Abstract:

The authors review the publications on Drosophila sex determination and dosage compensation. The topics of interest include the control of somatic sexual determination by RNA binding protein Sex-lethal, the regulation of this protein and its transcripts, and RNA binding protein Sex-lethal as its own translation repressor.
