'91 fourth quarter GDP grew 0.4%

The Commerce Department reports that GDP increased at an annual rate of 0.4% in 4th qtr 1991. Net exports and inventories rose more slowly than expected, but capital spending decreased less than expected.

The Commerce Dept reported that GDP increased at an annual rate of 2.7%, adjusted for inflation, during 3rd qtr 1992. Consumer spending increased 3.4%, and the annual rate of inflation was 2.4%.

The Commerce Dept reported that GDP increased at an inflation-adjusted yearly rate of 1.4% during 2nd qtr 1992, a lower rate than expected. Consumer spending fell 0.3% during 2nd qtr 1992.
