A New Heyday for Entrepreneurs

Article Abstract:

Entrepreneurs have been responsible for the increasing economic health in the United States. Entrepreneurs have moved into the technology industries creating new jobs. Colleges and universities are offering courses in entrepreneurship, which give our youth a head start in the business field. The federal government is being pushed to supply more funds for entrepreneurs to avoid their discouragement. Other areas in which entrepeneur growth is expected will be geriatric care, hazardous-waste management, and housing rehabilitation.

Modern Industry: Pentagon Bets on ADA As Standard Computer Language

Article Abstract:

The Department of Defense has adopted the computer programming language, Ada, as its standard language to be used by all its contractors. The new language has spawned several new industries to facilitate its use. Facilities training in the proficient use of Ada, the use of compilers, new Ada program development, and creation of an artificial training intelligence system are described. Short descriptions of available compilers are also included.

Biotech Firms Offer 'Interim' Products

Article Abstract:

Biotechnology promises to someday provide anti-cancer vaccines, hormones to increase productivity of dairy cows, and insects that eat toxic wastes. But until these wonderous products are delivered, the biotechnology industry (comprised of about 250 young firms) is coming up with less dramatic products that satisfy investors and establish market presence.
