Israeli women entrepreneurs: an examination of factors affecting performance

Article Abstract:

The distinct social structure of Israel plays a vital role in the analysis of performance of Israeli women entrepreneurs using five theoretical perspectives. The applicability of five theoretical perspectives on Israeli women entrepreneurs differs compared to women entrepreneurs of other developed countries. A study shows that motivation and goals, network affiliation, and environmental factors influence the performance of Israeli women entrepreneurs. On the other hand, the theory on social learning and the presence of a role model show little or no effect to business performance.
