A strategic framework for technical function management in manufacturing

Article Abstract:

A strategic framework for technical function management in manufacturing in the context of improved business and organizational performance was developed. Unlike conventional practices, this framework integrates three different points of view: the optimization of the contribution of technical functions to business results, the development of a steady source of competitive edge through an order winning set of technical capabilities, and the generation of a working environment through which these requirements may be activated.
