AOL Latin has plans to pursue more financing

Article Abstract:

Sao Paulo, Brazil-based America Online Latin America Inc. is planning some new financing moves in the next couple of months as the cash it has now will not last longer than the fourth quarter. A filing has not yet been made for a share offering, but that is one possible plan the company is mulling. Internet company offerings, however, have lost much of their cachet with institutional investors. The company has spent heavily on expanding its number of subscribers with 'free-trial' promotions which cost a company dearly in the short-term.
