Advertising industry

Article Abstract:

The areas in which advertising agencies operate have an effect on their finances even though many in the industry are globalized companies, and the Far East financial crisis may have an effect on their results. An important factor for future growth of advertising agencies will be consolidation in the industry, and mergers out of the industry as well. Advertising industry stocks are timely in 1998, but not all of them are suitable for investors.

Article Abstract:

Advertising agencies are expected to have another good year in 1998 in conjunction with the steady economic growth that will continue from the early- and mid-1990s. Advertising accounts are being consolidated by many multinational clients, ad agency acquisitions and mergers continue, and ad agencies are entering new areas, such as public relations, as well. These stocks are timely for 1997 and 1998, and the next three to five years, also.

Article Abstract:

Advertising agencies have done quite well in 1997 with the good global economy, but the Asian financial crisis could be troublesome in 1998. Most ad agencies have entered other markets, such as public relations, with good revenue growth as a result, and the industry continues to consolidate, as well. The are several advertising industry stocks which offer good value to investors for the next three to five years.
