Gun runners escape agents

Article Abstract:

Adesegun Banjo, an anatomy lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife-Ife, Nigeria, and his wife, graduate nurse Ngozika Iwunze, have gone into hiding in the neighbouring Republic of Benin after being convicted of gun running. The couple, who spent 14 months in prison in Benin after being caught trying to smuggle a container of arms into Nigeria, are being hunted by the Nigerian secret police. Banjo and Iwunze admit that the aim of their organisation, the People's Liberation Organisation of Nigeria, is to overthrow the Nigerian military regime headed by General Sani Abacha by force.

Air at 35,000 feet

Article Abstract:

The combination of the low oxygen level and canned air in an airplane cabin can contribute to making passengers airsick. Some ways of alleviating the common side effects of flying are by drinking a good amount of water to rehydrate, requesting that the ventilation system be turned-up or redirecting the overhead vents, and relieving pressure by ear-popping. A usually effective and successful technique for ear-popping is to hold the nose shut then take in a mouthful of air and exhale moderately into the nose.
