Air transport industry

Article Abstract:

The air transport industry has been suffering since the terrorist attacks of Sep 11, 2001. The US government plans to subsidise the industry, and management efforts are giving hopes to future profitability. These stocks are not timely for 2001, but have potential for the next three to five years.

Article Abstract:

A turndown in traffic and rising fuel costs have made a decline in profits likely for the airline industry in the US. There is also a possibility of further industry consolidation in the future. These stocks are not timely in 2001 and investors should seek opportunities elsewhere.
