Amway Corp. to market natural gas in conjunction with a Virginia partner

Article Abstract:

Direct marketing firm Amway, based in Ada, Michigan, will team up with Columbia Energy Group of Herndon, Virginia, adding natural gas to the 450 products Amway representatives currently sell. The partners plan to kick off the effort in a friendly market, the state of Georgia, where 18 competitors will also be peddling natural gas to 1.4 million Georgia consumers. Nationwide Amway has a network of approximately one million distributors who could potentially market gas for Columbia. Avon Products claims it is only interested in the beauty business at this time.
