Apria switches outside auditors in major reshuffle

Apria Healthcare Group Inc. has replaced Ernst & Young as its outside auditor and announced that a newly-nominated director has elected not to become a member of the company's board of directors. Apria made the announcements following its acknowledgement that it is being probed by federal prosecutors in California. The prosecutors have called for the company to hand over documentation connected to its billing methods.

Tenet's Focht plans to quit high posts; two are promoted

Tenet Healthcare Corp., the country's 2nd largest publicly traded hospital company, is losing its president and COO Michael H. Focht Sr. to retirement and has announced two replacements for the opening. Trevor Fetter, now executive vice president and CFO, and Thomas B. Mackey, now executive vice president for the firm's Western operations, will share the office of the president.
