Barriers to supply chain information integration: SMEs adrift of eLands

Article Abstract:

The practice of eBusiness in supply chains among s mall to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) is slowly growing, amidst the benefits that eBusiness brings to supply chain integration . The factors that hinder the adoption of eBusiness technologies are analyzed. The relationship of upstream SMEs and downstream larger businesses is also studied.

Remote control and maintenance outsourcing networks and its applications in supply chain management

Article Abstract:

The use of e-business technologies have an impact on supply chain operations and maintenance management. The network organization level of supply chains in applying remote maintenance, and how maintenance policies are paired with information technology, are studied. Case studies of four industrial network organizations are also given.
