Luft resigns post as Nixdorf chairman; Nasko to succeed him at computer firm

Article Abstract:

Klaus Luft resigns as chairman of Nixdorf Computer AG. Horst Nasko is named to succeed Luft. Nixdorf did not explain Luft's resignation, but insiders say pressure has been growing after West German media focused on Luft's role in managing Nixdorf, which has declined from one of West Germany's outstanding companies. According to at least one observer, Luft should not be blamed. Nixdorf's troubles, he says, derive from changes in the international computer industry and disappearing national markets.
