Chemical/diversified industry

Article Abstract:

Analysts give the stocks of the diversified chemical industry a low rating for timeliness, but the industry is expected to keep pace with the economy, with about 2.5% growth in the 2nd qtr 1997. Selected companies, such as Potash Corp of Saskatchewan and Terra Industries should experience growth as demand for fertilizers increases. Inventories have been depleted for most fertilizer raw materials except urea.
