Cisco's first glitch
Article Abstract:
The way in which huge companies like Cisco Systems could handle worse situations when the industry takes a turn for the worse and stock falls as the supply is so much greater than the demand that inventory piles up and becomes obsolete in the fast-changing technological world is presented. An argument that whether a company of this size can revive back after such a fall and one asset can change an entire company's outlook is studied.

The United States launch of Sony's PlayStation2 (PS2) exposed vulnerability in Sony's product development process. Several factors necessary for improved new product development at Sony in order to provide growth opportunities that would take Sony beyond the PlayStation2 are analyzed.
