Climbing to performance

Article Abstract:

The four stages of team development are the forming stage, storming, norming and performing. The forming stage is the time when team members are still questioning about everything. When conflicts start to erupt, the team is already in the second stage which is the storming stage. The third which is the norming stage is when project goals, roles and limitations are already identified. The performing stage is when team members are taking accountability for the project and its process.

Is your team asleep?

Article Abstract:

Project managers must ensure the active participation of all team members by integrating all learning styles in the development of a required solution. Members who are auditory learners need to have the problem discussed and must be allowed to express themselves freely. Visual learners require the use of visual data for greater appreciation. Finally, staff members who are kinesthetic learners must have all their senses used to fully comprehend a given situation.

Leadership in project life cycle and team character development

Article Abstract:

Responsible project leadership requires both team character development competency and team technical competency. Project completion is delayed by lack of project team character development because of dysfunctional conducts of members such as substandard performance, avoidance of responsibility, insensitivity to project problems, late completion of tasks, tardiness, leaving early and the weakening team collaboration.
