Cultural constraints in management theories

Article Abstract:

The theory and practice of management around the world differs from that in the US. US management concepts may be uniquely characterised by the focus away from workers and on managers, individual stress and the stress on market processes. Global management theories should be internationalised to enrich national concepts. Management concepts and practices in mainland China, Russia, Africa, Sout-East Asia, Netherlands, France, Japan, Germany and overseas Chinese countries are described.
