Giving credit where it's due

Article Abstract:

A formal credit policy is a sound business system for maximizing income and reducing customer debt problems. It is also easily understood by responsible clients. A sound policy should provide guidelines for credit application approvals and credit limit determination, as well as contingency measures for problem debtors. Such a policy must be kept current and centralized, thus requiring continuous maintenance and employee training.
