Drugstore industry

Article Abstract:

The consolidation taking place in the drugstore industry during the late 1990's is not yet over, but mergers in the future will be smaller in scale and scope. A major key to success for the industry in the future will be with dealing with the aging population of the US, and electronic commerce and automation will have an effect on the industry, as well. These stocks are timely for the 2nd qtr of 1999 and are likely to outperform the market for the coming year and through the years 2002-2004.
