Environmental industry

Article Abstract:

The investment appeal of environmental industry stocks in 1999 has risen with the merger of Allied Waste Industries Inc and Browning-Ferris Industries Inc, and consolidation is continuing to have a positive impact on the industry. Prospects for price increases in the commercial and residential sectors have improved and the acquisition of smaller companies by larger ones will have an positive earnings impact, also. Investors will find these stocks attractive for the next three to five years.
