Evaluation of the impact of European Community research programmes upon industrial competitiveness

Article Abstract:

An analysis of industrial competitiveness is presented. The analysis focuses on the establishment of a definite meaning for competitiveness and on the development of basic concepts underlining its dynamics. These concepts are measured against standard industrial research programs and specifies the EC Framework Programme. It is shown that firms must properly evaluate technological progresses which would improve industrial competitiveness.
