February consumer prices rise 0.3%

The Department of Labor reports that the consumer price index increased 0.3% in Feb 1992. The consumer price index, before seasonal adjustment, for urban consumers was 2.8% higher in Feb 1992 than it was in Feb 1991.

May consumer prices rise 0.1%

The Department of Labor reports that the consumer price index increased 0.1% in May 1992. This increase was less than the 0.2% increase in Apr 1992, reducing fears that higher prices will lead to higher inflation.
