Further gains ahead, but is it a new era?

Article Abstract:

Prospects for US financial markets appear bright as the country witnesses major economic developments. However, economic experts agree that hopes of achieving another economic expansion are far from being realized, despite such developments. They strongly argue that a gross domestic product increase of 18.5% and unemployment reduction rate of 1.5 percentage points are not enough to support further economic expansion.

States are increasingly emphasizing the evaluation of their efforts to attract businesses and promote industrial development. States want to assure that revenues are well spent. Several states' economic development programs and accountability measures are described.
