GM found negligent in pickup trial

Article Abstract:

A jury in a Georgia court held that GM would have to pay $105.2 million in damages for negligence in the death of a teenager in a GMC pickup truck. In another case, NBC agreed to pay damages to GM for tampering with a crash test of a GM pickup.

Car dealer indicted for defrauding GM

Article Abstract:

Automobile dealer John McNamara was charged with defrauding General Motors Corp of $436 million in auto loans. McNamara is accused of using dummy corporations to obtain loans from General Motors Acceptance Corp for nonexistent cars.
