How to structure a Y2K project

Article Abstract:

The year 2000 transition problem in computers can be managed through a Y2K program that should be started as early as possible. The program developed at the corporate level consists of a series of processes which includes a communications awareness program, an inventory process, assessment and prioritization processes, vendor compliance process and external interfaces. The most basic step is the identification, assessment, remediation and testing of any equipment or machinery that processes dates as the primary issue is the 2-digit sequence reading of the computer chip.

Network-based versus AI-based techniques in project planning

Article Abstract:

Two approaches that can be employed in solving the project planning problem are compared. These are network-based techniques, which represent conventional planning techniques, and artificial intelligence-based techniques, which use problem-solving strategies to come up with a solution. The results of the comparison are used to justify the need for an advanced planning system.
