Article Abstract:

Some companies are hiring public relation services that specialize in monitoring and, if necessary, interceding in online discussion groups where a company's business or point of view may be eliciting negative comment. Participants in such discussions are becoming wary, asking more questions about background and identity of other members. While these discussions often involve only 100 members, often times controversy there makes its way into mainstream media.

Model portfolios: recent developments

Article Abstract:

Three types of portfolios for investors with different attitudes and expectations from stocks are suggested. The first portfolio lists the stocks with above-average year-ahead price potential, the second portfolio lists the stocks for income and potential price appreciation and the third portfolio lists the stocks with long-term price growth potential. The suggested portfolios are based on the stock performances as per data available as of December 2, 2005.
