Pres Bill Clinton signed a $2.3-billion appropriations bill for FY 1994 for the legislative branch. The Senate approved appropriations bills for several departments, including the Agriculture Dept and the Treasury Dept. The House approved a spending bill for the Interior Dept.

Senate passes '93 appropriation

The Senate passed a $251-billion FY 1993 defense appropriations bill by a vote of 86 to 10 on Sep 23, 1992. The bill would provide the Strategic Defense Initiative with $3.8 billion.
