Betty and Jim Held single-handedly revived Missouri winemaking in 1965 by renovating a pre-prohibition, Hermann, MO, facility. They made the picturesque winery a tourist attraction with festivals and events, and still get 60% of their $4.7 million annual sales from tourists.
