The amount of traffic on the Hills Motorway (Sydney's M2) is so low that distributions to shareholders of the road project have been canceled. The cancelation of distributions has affected other investors involved in public works projects, as nervous shareholders react by selling their stock. Road stocks became popular because the public debt market was decreasing and fund managers took up the slack.
