Living Off the Fad of the Land

Article Abstract:

Burton Rubin made his first fortune when he invented E-Z Wider rolling papers which are very popular with certain parts of the smoking population. Now that Rubin sold that company he is in the process of developing a new product. With Haley's Comet, which appears only once every seventy-five years, due to light up the skies in 1985, Rubin is in the process of developing a new telescope for watching Haley's Comet. Telescope sales are expected to triple between now and 1985, and Rubin is designing his telescope with special features such as zoom lenses and correct imaging which he hopes will appeal especially to Comet watchers.

Mc Pawnbroker

Article Abstract:

Gerald Kagan and Daniel Naygrow are partners who want to bring pawnshops out of seedy storefronts and into the suburbs. And while they are changing the locations of pawnshops, they are also out to change the image. They call their new group Western Collateral Loan Group, and they are offering nationwide franchises. The franchise's cost will run around one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and will all be linked by a central computer which will contain pricing information. Although there have been many inquiries, there have not been too many people willing to invest in the new pawnshops.
