San Diego may flush now, drink later

Article Abstract:

The repurification of sewage as a readily available source of drinking water is an idea whose time has come for the leaders of the city of San Diego. But the city's thirsty residents have not been convinced, prompting a new high-profile marketing campaign which was designed to promote the plan's benefits, such as cost savings. The city has hired a public relations firm and set up a hot line to sell the idea to the public before starting construction on the $2 million waster-water recycling plant.
